How can we help?

For workers

When can I start using ShiftNaija?

The apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, starting in Lagos. Join the early-access list and we'll tell you the moment they're live.

What do I need to sign up?

A smartphone, a Nigerian phone number, your NIN and BVN, and a selfie for the face match. You'll also add the bank account you want to be paid into.

How and when do I get paid?

When the hours for your shift are confirmed, your pay is sent to your bank account the same day. The rate is shown on every shift before you accept it.

Why do you need my NIN, BVN and a selfie?

To confirm you are who you say you are. Businesses book verified workers with more confidence, and it keeps everyone safer. Our privacy notice explains how this data is protected.

Do I have to accept every shift?

No. There's no obligation. You choose which shifts to take, when, and where.

What if I can't make a shift I accepted?

Cancel in the app as early as you can so the business can find someone else. Late cancellations and no-shows lower your reliability score, and repeated no-shows lead to a review of your account.

For businesses

How much does it cost?

You pay your workers' pay plus a ShiftNaija service fee and a small insurance levy for each worker. The app shows your exact total before you confirm a shift. Use the shift budget to plan what your crew will earn.

How do I pay?

You top up a prepaid wallet in the business app. When you post a shift, its full cost is ring-fenced, so workers are always paid from secured funds.

How are workers checked?

Every worker passes NIN, BVN and selfie face-match checks before their first shift, and builds a rating and reliability score with every shift after that.

What happens if a worker doesn't show up?

You'll see it on the live check-in board. No-shows count against a worker's reliability score, and repeated no-shows lead to a review of their account.

Email support@shiftnaija.com or call +234 704 479 7548. Tell us the shift, the venue and what happened.
